Main Scopes of Investment Activity for the period until Year 2020
1. Establishment of the branch of the EMS Kazpost courier service
The objective of the project is to improve the quality of services to level maintained by foreign companies with global repute and technology, but with prices acceptable to clients.
Express cargo’s difference from other types of cargos is its time sensitivity (its delivery is the matter of several hours). Extra time for delivery will result in loss in value of that transportation service.
To encourage the interest towards discussed service, the company plans to perform the quality work regarding improvement of the courier service’s business processes.
With the present capacity and vast network, the company disposes of all possibilities for further progress in the market of courier services. However, the company needs to ensure more rapid reaction to all changes and market requirements and develop the strategy for development in advance to our competitors.
In connection with above, the company substantiated the necessity to establish a separate branch, which body will ensure rapid decision making, flexible price policy and prompt procurement of services and improvement of quality of services, by means of attraction of highly qualified personnel and appropriate level of motivation for such personnel.
Experience collected overseas, in Italy, Germany, Russia and Azerbaijan, showed that establishment of separate branches dealing with courier services contributed into effective development of discussed services increase in the market share in said segment.
2. Mobile Postman Project
Project presumes postal and financial services delivered to clients at home. Those services are client oriented. Besides, the project aims to support socially vulnerable groups of population, such as pensioners and handicaps.
The equipment of postmen with the new technology will significantly expand the capacity for improvement of quality of services and enlarge the range of the marketed services.
Client support at home will become possible: delivery and registration of same, payment of pensions and allowances, collection of periodical subscription, payments, cash transfers and delivery of agent services (booking of air and rail tickets, distanced ordering of goods and commodities and others).
Opportunity to use plastic cards, without necessity to leave home (payments from cards through PDA) will promote the distribution of plastic card services in the rural areas, among population with low social status. In general, the company will encourage population’s awareness of modern services available in the market (mobile and Internet banking, interactive services and others).
The introduction of new technology based on operation of mobile communicators will bring the following main results:
- significant improvement in reliability of postal dispatching and cash transfers;
- increase in the level of automation of a number of operations (reduced time for registration of postal dispatching by means of surveillance system, thus reducing the time for client support), which novelty will increase the production output of the company officials.
